Juventus 4-0 Lecce: Dybala, Ronaldo and Higuain help open up seven-point gap

Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain gave Juventus a four-point victory over 10-man Lecce at Allianz Stadium by seven points at the top of Serie A.
After Fabio Lucioni's dismissal in the first half, Lecce, who had started brilliantly, faced a daunting task, but Dybala needed a moment of brilliance to take the lead after 53 minutes.
Ronaldo and Federico Bernardeschi were guilty of the opening phase, but the former scored his 23rd goal of the season from the penalty spot before putting Higuain in an excellent position.
Matthijs de Ligt added a fourth that was tough for Lecce when Maurizio Sarri's men extended their lead to Lazio, the last time Atalanta beat 3-2, despite their rivals holding a game.
Andrea Rispoli flashed wide on the half volley when Juve was cut open after four minutes.
Gabriel parried Adrien Rabiot's long-range shot and Ronaldo drilled past the right post when Juventus came to life and soon found a man.
Rodrigo Bentancur, who played for Juve in his 100th game, caught Lucioni 40 meters from goal and the central defender knocked his opponent down to earn the straight red.
Ronaldo headed a close-range header from Dybala's corner when it was unmarked, then prevailed over Bernardeschi, who missed an even bigger sitter as he shot up from the six-yard box.
Gabriel was back in action to keep Leonardo Bonucci's header shortly after the restart, but was unable to prevent Dybala from opening the scoring.
Evgen Shakhov's careless passport was picked up by Ronaldo, who pushed the Argentine forward to steer a lavish attempt with his left foot from the edge of the field into the top right corner.
The game was over shortly after the hour when Ronaldo shot the penalty home after he stumbled from Luca Rossettini.
The Portuguese superstar would have had another if Gabriel hadn't kept his header close up, but his brilliant rear wheel after a good run, which was distracted by the path of Higuain, who drilled the third home.
De Ligt then nodded in Douglas Costa's corner when Juve finally ran out comfortable winners.
What does that mean? Juve put pressure on Lazio
The interruption forced by the corona virus has held up the dynamism of Lazio and there is a feeling that Simeone Inzaghi's side can no longer slip. If so, Juve's path to a ninth consecutive title becomes even clearer.
Ronaldo makes amends with style
There was no excuse for a Ronaldo caliber player to miss the first half chance.
But in the second round he was at his best when Dybala defeated otherwise brilliant Gabriel before scoring a penalty he deserved and ending a mazy run with an exquisite flick that was found with a little help Higuain to score Juve's third goal. It was a great answer from Portugal.

Lucioni's panic wipes out Lecce's hard work
Right up to the red card, there is an argument that Lecce was the better team, certainly the more ambitious one for the future. Lucioni's dismissal may be hard for some, but his failure has slowed her progress, although Shakhov's negligence wasn't much help either.
Important Opta facts:
