Kamala Harris Plays Coy About VP Talk and Drags Mike Pence on ‘Watch What Happens Live’
Following Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Thursday evening, Senator Kamala Harris shocked viewers and presenter Andy Cohen by revealing that she had already thought of a slogan: "I will tell you my opinion, but my beliefs are not up for debate . "
OK, the current leader in Joe Biden's democratic running mate wasn't exactly talking about a vice presidential campaign. She took part in the longstanding tradition of the Bravo talk show to debut her own Real Housewives slogan - with enthusiasm and applause from Cohen and the other guest, the actress and activist Laverne Cox.
(Hillary Clinton's recent slogan shot: "I'm neither as good nor as bad as people say.")
Harris was wearing a dark blue blazer against a background that might as well have been specially painted, and continued to explain the same balanced point when asked about a serious conversation with Biden about taking on the role of VP.
Cohen specifically asked her if there were any updates after Amy Klobuchar had withdrawn from the slot competition, saying that Biden should choose a colored woman.
"I'll tell you in all frankness and sincerity, and that's really what I mean: I want Joe Biden to win, and I want him to choose who helps him win," she said, repeating she refrains from a version of when asked about her VP opportunities. "And I will do everything in my power to make him win in every capacity."

After Cox spoke about how the struggle for trans-rights continues after last week's Supreme Court victory, Harris recalled that the Supreme Court judiciary “does not change what he did,” referring to Donald Trump and the introduction of politics It is legal to deny trans people health benefits and health care.
"I could go through a long list of why Joe Biden has to win," she concluded. "The United States Supreme Court, judges appointed for life appointments handpicked by the Federalist Society who are openly homophobic - open! - and talk about what they have done and what they will continue to do to deprive people of their civil rights. So here I am. "
It was a passionate non-response as it comes.
Later in the episode, she recently responded to Mike Pence's refusal to say “Black Lives Matter,” in an interview: “I promise you that Donald Trump and Mike Pence will never use the term Black Lives Matter, and that's why they have to to be elected from office. "
She also revealed that a Republican with whom she has an unexpectedly good relationship is, surprisingly, Senator Rand Paul - even though she qualified before he blocked the anti-Lynch bill, and on the day of George Floyd's funeral, no less .
Throughout the episode, she cheered Cox as the actress spoke about her struggle on behalf of the trans community and the criticism the senator had received in the past for her notes that helped enforce anti-trans policies, while the California Attorney General never mentioned this.
(Harris has since taken "full responsibility" for writing legal statements against a state-funded operation for detained trans women, while declaring that the attitude was not a reflection of their views but was a matter of professional obligation.)
Although not necessarily the latest appearance, Harris' stop at Watch What Happens Live has essentially achieved what he should be doing: revealing the relaxed, cheerful person behind the politician - and of course still offering ample opportunity to lie down with Talk passion about points.
In case you were ever curious: Cory Booker is the colleague most likely to get a drink after a long day at work. Fried chicken is her favorite dish when she cooks. Her first celebrity crush was Tito Jackson - a revelation that giggled at her - and even though she smoked a pot, she's never tried anything edible.
And on the more gossipy VP front, Harris giggled again when Cohen revealed that the show's researchers found that Kellyanne Conway apparently liked a tweet that said a Biden-Harris ticket could win. What did she think about it? "I don't know. It kind of scares me."
