Kanye West finally releases 1st campaign ad 3 weeks before the 2020 election
Months after announcing his 2020 presidential election, Kanye West has finally created an actual campaign ad.
West, the rapper who announced in July that he would run for president even though it's too late to vote in any state, posted a video on Twitter on Monday showing him standing in front of an American flag, which contains generic B-. Roll through and finish by asking viewers to write his name in November. This was the first campaign West released, notes Mediaite, despite the fact that he threw his hat in the ring over three months ago and the election is only a few weeks away.
"We as a people will revive our nation's commitment to the faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer," West says in the video. "Faith can be restored through prayer."
West had spoken surprisingly infrequently about his presidential campaign in the past few weeks, as he had devoted much of his time on Twitter to ranting his admission contract. Speaking of his campaign, reporter Ben Jacobs noted in September that for a while the rapper "never explicitly asked Americans to vote, instead just announced that he would become president."
Recently, however, West's campaign released a rare press release after he ran against his will as a vice-presidential candidate in California. West said, "Californians, I will have your vote for the President and I encourage you to write in Kanye West." . '"
In an article last month, the New York Times reported that, over the course of numerous conversations, West "made it clear that he believed he would become president - eventually - but said almost nothing about what he wanted to do if he was elected becomes". His website describes a platform that consists of goals such as "Restoring Classroom Prayer Including Spiritual Basics".
