Kanye West Releases First Presidential Campaign Ad, 22 Days Before Election

Rapper and unlikely presidential candidate Kanye West posted the first ad for his presidential campaign just 22 days before election day.
On Monday afternoon, West shared the video, which lasts a little more than a minute, on Twitter to his almost 40 million followers. In the video, he discusses how Americans should focus on strengthening their religion and beliefs in order to make the country better.
"America. What is America's destiny? What is best for our nation? Our people? What is right now? Real justice? We as a people need to ponder all of these things together. To ponder our future and achieve our dream, we must have a vision. We as a people will revive our nation's commitment to the faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer, "he said." Faith can be restored through prayer.

West spoke against a backdrop of a black and white American flag and photos of families, including photos of West's own family when he was a child.
“We as a people are called to a greater purpose than we are. Not only are we a beacon of our world, we should be servants of one another, encouraging one another, helping one another, raising one another - our fellow American citizens - so that we can all succeed together. We must act in faith with the certainty of knowing that we are pursuing the right goals and doing the right things. We will build a stronger country by building stronger families, ”he said. “Families are the building blocks of society, of a nation. If we turn to faith, we will be the kind of nation - the kind of people - God intends us to be. "
The video ends with an affirmation, "I am Kanye West and I agree to this message," and a text asking people to put it on the ballot.
The rapper faced many obstacles in his ascent and near-impossible battle for states' ballots as he missed several key deadlines. However, he appears on the California ballot, but as a vice-presidential candidate.
Many have wondered how serious West is about running for president after starting his campaign in July and qualifying for 10 states. In September, he spent $ 6.8 million on his offer, according to the campaign's financial reports. In a highly anticipated election between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, West could pull some votes from both candidates and act as a third-party spoiler.
