Karamo Brown considers ex-fiancé Ian Jordan to be part of his family for months after he broke off his engagement.
On Saturday, the 40-year-old Queer Eye star wished his ex a happy 50th birthday with some throwback photos and a sweet homage. "Happy birthday to @theianjordan," he wrote in the headline.
"Although our relationship has shifted from the past ... one thing that will never change - we are family!" Brown continued. "I hope that today and this year brings you everything your heart desires and more. I love you. Happy 50!"
The writer of I Am Perfectly Designed announced their split on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in September, three months after they made the amicable decision to split. "We were so distracted by the children and our careers that at that time I really had to say how is our communication? How are other parts of our lives? Are we growing in the same place?" Brown said at the time.

"We're not 20 anymore, so it wasn't just, 'Oh, I won't text you anymore" - it was like we had a family and a home, "continued the father of two. "How do we separate that? And it was hard."
Brown made it clear that he and Jordan are still friends. "It's very nice when it says, 'I still love you and I support you,'" he said. "I want him to be happy, he wants me to be happy."
