Kate Middleton and Prince William Say Princess Charlotte Had a 'Lovely' 7th Birthday in Thank-You Note

The Royal Family are busy sending out thank-you notes, and Princess Charlotte's seventh birthday well-wishers are among the latest recipients!
Royal fan @KatsRoyalLetters shared the response she received from Kensington Palace after sending a birthday message to Kate Middleton and Prince William's daughter, who turned 7 in May.

"Thank you for the kind birthday message you sent for Princess Charlotte's seventh birthday," the note read. "Princess Charlotte had a lovely day and your message was greatly appreciated by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who send you their best wishes."
The card featured one of Princess Charlotte's three birthday portraits taken by Kate.

The photos showed Princess Charlotte posing in a field of bluebells near the family's country home, Anmer Hall.
In a sweet moment, she hugs the family's new dog, Orla. William and Kate, both aged 40, adopted a cocker spaniel from a litter raised by Kate's brother James Middleton in late 2020 following the death of their beloved puppy Lupo.

Princess Charlotte has already had a big year. She also joined the royal family at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June - where she helped her parents keep an eye on 4-year-old brother Prince Louis! – She had her first solo outing with her parents last month when she joined them at the Commonwealth Games.
Charlotte's big day included showing her royal handshake, observing intently a swimming competition, and enthusiastically cheering on the gymnastics competition, which she described as her favorite sport.

Princess Charlotte is also preparing for a new school year - at a brand new school. The family are moving from Kensington Palace in London to their new home in Windsor.
"Moving is mainly due to schooling," a family friend tells PEOPLE.

Their new home will be a 10-minute walk from Queen Elizabeth, 96, and a short drive from Kate's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
Windsor, with its extensive parklands, will allow children to invite friends over to play and walk their dog or have company in complete privacy.
