In addition to the homecoming celebration, Kate, Patron of the Lawn Tennis Association, also met teenagers from across the UK. The young athletes play tennis at the grassroots level as part of the LTA Youth Program, which encourages participation in the sport and inspires the next generation of players.
The goal of the program is to help more children enjoy the benefits of playing tennis and the sport of tennis, regardless of age, gender, ability, disability, or background.

When Raducanu defeated Leylah Fernandez to win the singles final, Kate tweeted that her journey to the top had been a "pleasure to see". Raducanu also received personal congratulations from Queen Elizabeth.
Kate's meeting comes the day after her husband Prince William highlighted football when he visited a lower division team in south London to discuss the ongoing governance review in the sport.
