Katharine McPhee Is Pregnant, Expecting First Child With David Foster
The celebrity baby boom continues with Katharine McPhee and David Foster.
The two are reportedly expecting their first child together, multiple outlets have confirmed. The American Idol singer and legendary record producer bought baby clothes together in Montecito, California on Tuesday.
McPhee, 36, and Foster, 70) were married in an intimate ceremony at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in London last summer, a year after he asked the question during a short Italian vacation.
This is the first child for the "Smash" alum, who was married to David Cokas from 2008 to 2016.
Foster now has five children from previous relationships - he's been married four times, most recently to Yolanda Hadid, alum from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He has three daughters, Sara, Erin and Jordan, with his second wife Rebecca Dyer and daughter Amy with his first wife B. J. Cook. At only 20 years old, he became the father of his eldest child, Allison Jones. She was put up for adoption, but the two reunited later in life.

The couple have not yet officially commented on the news amid McPhee's ongoing silence on social media that began, according to Federal Election Commission records, when she was asked to donate to the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
McPhee and Foster first sparked romantic rumors in 2017, but didn't make their official debut as a couple until the Met Gala the following year.
However, the two first met almost 14 years ago when Foster was supervising McPhee along with other contestants participating in the fifth season of American Idol.
The composer previously described the course of his relationship as a "natural meeting" after years of friendship and musical collaboration.
"I've always just admired and loved him, and he's always been so great for those around him," McPhee told Today of their connection last year. "He can be intimidating when he really has to be for his job, but he's really nice."
Their 34-year age difference raised some eyebrows over the course of their relationship, but both of them repeatedly poked fun at the comment and wiped it off in the press.
"Look, we have haters on social media and there isn't a person around who won't comment on the age difference," Foster told USA Today earlier this year, noting that his daughters greeted McPhee with open arms to have. “But there are so many things that can stall a marriage: it can be financial, it can be children, it can be geographic, it can be infidelity. And one of them is the age difference, but that's our only problem. Everything else is true, so it won't topple us. "
