Katharine McPhee has basically just confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband David Foster.
Katharine posted a shy Instagram story hinting at her pregnancy.
I'll see you, Katharine McPhee. Katharine basically confirmed that she is actually expecting her first child with husband David Foster. On Friday, she shared a video with a gift she received from Aperol USA. In it, she explained that it was one of her "favorite drinks" and reminded her of "being in Capri", which sounds so, very, glamorous. But that's not the best part. She then implied that the rumors about her pregnancy were true.
“Thank you, Aperol Spritz,” she said. "I'm not going to drink this anytime soon, wink, wink. But I'm very excited! Who comes for an Italian-inspired cocktail?"

Well that seems kind of obvious doesn't it? A popular reason women give up drinking for a while is pregnancy. Plus, the "wink, wink" pretty much gives it away. These sly confirmations come days after people report that Katharine and David are expecting their first child together. She was also photographed and showed what looks like a small baby bump.
Katharine and David married in June 2019 after meeting in 2006 when he was mentoring her at American Idol. David is already the father of five grown daughters: Sara, Erin, Jordan, Allison and Amy. Despite the age difference between Katharine and David (she is 36 and he is 70), his family accepted Katharine.
"Interestingly, the age difference played a positive role. Our father comes from a generation where women are more passive. He's also passive about his feelings," Erin previously told People. "Kat really pushed him to open up." David added, "I think she [Katharine] is really, really good at navigating. And so is she. Because they could be horrible. It sure makes it easier for me to get along."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
