Katie Holmes Seen Last-Minute Christmas Shopping for Her New Boyfriend & Suri—& We Can Guess What’s in Those Bags

It turns out we have more in common with Katie Holmes than we thought. Like us, the 42-year-old actress postponed some Christmas shopping until the last minute. Messy bun and everything.
Earlier this week, Dawson's Creek alum was spotted on the streets of NYC with large shopping bags from Blick Art Materials, a Blick art store that she visits frequently. In the photos, Holmes looked casual in a blue jacket over a green shirt and loose-fitting jeans. She rounded off the look with a pair of black leather loafers and a shoulder bag.
Although the shopping bags weren't clear, it was pretty easy to spot some of the items inside. In an oversized red bag was a picture frame with cardboard holders on the edges. And while we're not sure, we'd make a small bet that the other bag contained paints and brushes.
The deliveries were likely for her 14-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, who (as we've seen on social media) has an affinity for art and painting. However, it is entirely possible that something was in the pockets for Holmes too.
When we were distracted by the big red bags, we almost overlooked the fact that the Batman Begins star was also carrying a bag from the Italian men's clothing store Boglioli - maybe something for friend Emilio Vitolo? We might think of a cashmere sweater or a scarf.
Don't worry about the last minute Spree, Katie. We're totally in the same boat.
