Before Khloé Kardashian skyrocketed with the success of Keeping Up with Kardashians, he played a much bigger role behind the scenes: as Nicole Richie's assistant.
The 36-year-old Khloé reported on the earlier appearance during an appearance on the "Emergency Contact" podcast, where she also remembered how she had met co-host Simon Huck.
"I was Nicole Richie's assistant and you were Jonathan Cheban's assistant, and we met five faces in front of you," Khloé quipped, referring to cosmetic procedures.
Khloé, who appeared in the podcast on Monday with interviews with celebrities and the people who stood by their side in all the ups and downs of life, along with best friend Malika Haqq, said she had not worked for Richie for "a long time".
"I went to school with her," said Khloé. “She was one of my best friends growing up and we were very, very close. Then when she started doing Simple Life - I think it was after Simple Life - she just needed some help and I just needed a job."
The Good American founder has always been familiar with reality shows but said she never really thought about making one herself until the idea came up. "Kourtney [Kardashian] did Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive before ... and Kim [Kardashian] was obsessed with The Real World, but I didn't think about it and I think that's the beauty of it," Khloé said of KUWTK .
She shared that she and her family had no expectations from the E! Reality show and were shocked at how successful it was.

"We were told we were a show filler and shouldn't be comfortable. There was no pressure because it was like that, they don't think we can hold out, so let's have fun with it," said Khloé.
She explained that life changed drastically for her and her family after season three when she and Kourtney, 41, were filming their spin-off Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami. "It was the first time that we couldn't really visit many places and it was more paparazzi and fans," recalled Khloé.

When Haqq, 37, pondered that period, he said things had changed drastically: "It wasn't until they started filming and moving more that I said, 'Wait, she's not with me anymore, she really can't be here all the time 'and she said,' Come on, work with me. 'And in the end I walked around the world with her. "
Now - over a decade later - the show is coming to an end.
"It's devastating for all of us," Khloé told Huck and co-host Melissa Gray Washington.
"The day it happened, Malika and I talked all day because you don't have to be a main character - you're still a part of this journey from day one, even if you were in the first episode or not you were you Simon, you Malika, you are our family. You are on this journey with us and just for a chapter to end doesn't mean that everything ends forever. It just means that there is room for another chapter to open. "
"It's sad, but we've been doing this for 15 years. We have two weeks off a year. It's exhausting. We're all in a different place in our lives and some of us need a nap," Khloé continued.

She said while she thinks the end of the show is a wise decision, the idea still scares her. "It's hard because I'm not good at handling change, but that doesn't mean I don't need a break. Sometimes I'm also afraid to take the break. I know it's good. It hits me in waves - like today I've been nauseous all day and know that I'm scared. "
Haqq repeated similar feelings, saying, "It's a flood of emotions."
"I have a lot of memories and I never thought I'd be with my best friend. There are a lot to be thankful for. [But] I'm so scared. This was the most enduring thing there was I've known it for the past 14 years, "said Haqq.
