Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that the liberation of Crimea is out of the question, while commenting on the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Quote from Peskov: “You know that from the beginning, and the President [Putin – ed. Red.] said this several times, even before the special operation [this is what Russia calls its war against Ukraine – editor's note. Red.], the Constitution of Ukraine declared that Crimea should be returned to Ukraine by military means, by force.
And de facto Ukraine has not given up on it, and for us it is nothing more than a discussion about the annexation of the territory of the Russian Federation; there can be no other interpretation here; no way."
Details: It is noted that Russia previously enshrined in its constitution that the territories of Kherson Oblast, including the city of Kherson, allegedly belong to Russia. However, the Russian army withdrew from Kherson and Ukraine regained control of the city.
In an interview with the Financial Times on Thursday, Zelenskyy said he was ready to consider non-military means to liberate Crimea; however, he cautions against wasting time on options that don't involve liberating the peninsula.
"I understand that everyone is confused by the situation and what will happen to Crimea. If anyone is willing to offer us a way to de-occupy Crimea by non-military means, I will only be for it...
If the solution [does not involve] dismantling and [Crimea] is part of the Russian Federation, nobody should waste their time on it. It's a waste of time," said Zelenskyy.
