Kristen Stewart is fully aware that her upcoming portrayal of Diana, Princess of Wales in the new biopic Spencer will be one of the most anticipated roles of her career.
In a new cover story for InStyle, the actress gave an insight into how she is preparing for the film directed by Pablo Larraín. In the interview, Stewart revealed that although production doesn't begin until January, she has already read several books about the late princess.
"In terms of research, I went through two and a half biographies and finished all of the footage before making the film," Stewart told the outlet. "It's one of the saddest stories ever, and I don't want to just play Diana - I want to get to know her implicitly. By the way, I haven't been this excited about playing a role in so long."

Stewart also revealed that she was determined to perfect Diana's subtle accent and worked to tweak her pronunciation for the film.
"The accent is intimidating as hell because people know that voice and it's so, so clear and special," Stewart said. "I'm working on it now and already have my dialect coach."
Spencer spans a pivotal weekend in the early '90s, telling Diana's decision to end her marriage to Prince Charles and break away from the royal family. Back in June, Larraín expressed his delight at Stewart's casting for the lead role and shared his confidence in her upcoming portrayal.
"The way she reacted to the script and how she approaches the character is very nice to see," said Larraín. "I think she will do something breathtaking and fascinating at the same time. We are very happy to have her, she is very dedicated."
