Kristen Stewart Responded To A Social Media Campaign That Pushed For Her To Be The Next Joker Alongside Robert Pattinson's Batman, And I'm Very Amused

I was years old today when I found out some people cast Kristen Stewart as the next Joker.

As in, there is an entire social media campaign for the Spencer star to play the villain opposite ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson's crusader in The Batman.

And while I'd love to give an obscene amount of money to make this happen, for better or for worse, it most likely will never happen.

In an interview with Variety, the 31-year-old said: “I love the energy behind it. It really has been done that well. I have a feeling we might not stumble around, but I love that enthusiasm. Let's find out something else I'm totally down to playing a freaky, scary person. "
Personally, I think it's great that Kristen loves the energy behind the fan cast. And re: former Jokers - both Joaquin Phoenix and the late Heath Ledger have won Oscars and critical acclaim for their respective portrayals of the disturbed clown.

When asked if her answer was a resounding "no," Kristen clarified, "Not 'no', but not the most enthusiastic I've ever been. Let's do something new."

Even if we shouldn't hold our breath for Kristen's appearance in the 2022 film, it's safe to say that we'll see her in a few more dark roles.
