Kyle Kuzma extension: LeBron James reacts to 3 year deal worth $40M

As it turned out, Kyle Kuzma wasn't the only one partying on Sunday night.
On the eve of the rookie renewal deadline, Kuzma agreed to sign a $ 40 million three-year deal with the Lakers that will keep him in Los Angeles for at least the next two seasons. Kuzma has long been a fan favorite in Tinseltown, but based on the reaction from LeBron James, it's safe to conclude that he won the King too.
James went to Twitter to celebrate the news.
Kuzma is likely to play a bigger role with the defending champions this season, which is why Rob Pelinka and his staff have likely chosen to take him to the extension, which is the middle ground between "big money" and the possible loss of Kuzma through limited freedom appeared to be agency next season.
“KUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZ !!! Congratulations brother !!! The next dinner for sure! Vino is recording @kylekuzma, ”James tweeted in celebration of ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski report.
Kuzma joins both James and Anthony Davis as returning members of the club last season to sign rich contracts since the Lakers won the 2020 NBA championship. James signed a two-year extension for $ 85 million, while Davis signed a five-year deal with the club worth approximately $ 190 million.
Now there is no question that Kuzma will be included in the club's long-term plans. For at least the next two seasons, he'll wear Lakers purple and gold.
The king is obviously pleased.
