Lakers team bus left Quinn Cook at arena after winning championship
The Lakers team bus left Quinn Cook at the arena after the title originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
The Lakers were popular after securing their franchise's 17th championship in a Game 6 Against the Heat on Sunday night.
They actually drove so high they forgot one of their own in the arena in the Orlando Bubble. Former DeMatha star Quinn Cook didn't make it on the team bus before heading to their hotel, and thanks to JR Smith, the whole world knows.
Smith was off the team bus on an Instagram Live Sunday night when he noticed his teammates had forgotten Cook in the arena. Just as Smith starts telling everyone else what happened, Cook's comment on Smith's live stream camera comes over the bottom of the stream.
"Come back," wrote Cook.
This isn't the first time someone has missed the team bus after winning a title. After Alabama won a national championship against Clemson in 2016, offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin missed the team bus and had to drive back in the car with Nick Saban.
While this stuff is fun, a lot seems to be happening. Given the amount of money someone like Cook has on their mind after winning it all, making it to the team bus is likely not high on their priority list.
Thankfully, that title was won in a bubble so it's hard to imagine getting back to your teammates at Grand Destino was tough.
