LeBron James Honors Son Bronny on 16th Birthday: 'Love You Kid Until the Wheels Fall Off'

LeBron James reminds his son how special he is on his 16th birthday.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers star shared a heartfelt post on Instagram in honor of his son LeBron "Bronny" James Jr.'s milestone, including several photos of the father-son duo bonding on and off the pitch.
"Happy 16th child !!!!! 1 unique and so far I have loved every second of your existence in your young, promising life! You are a SPECIAL child (always knows that)!" LeBron started captioning. "Keep growing and leading your generation up. Perhaps you didn't even think this was possible because you are just so SPECIAL !!"
The 35-year-old basketball player thanked Bronny for allowing him to play a crucial role in his life.
"Thank you for letting me be your inspiration, your leader, listener, mediator and many other things, but most of all just YOUR DAD!" he went on.

The athlete also included the hashtag "Young Simba" along with a lion emoji.
The father of three posted pictures of Bronny as a young boy and teenager in the mail. The first photo shows LeBron holding baby Bronny against his chest while his then-newborn son sleeps.
It also shared footage of his son sitting on the sidelines while the Lakers star played in an NBA game, and included photos of the two at Bronny's high school basketball games.

Many of LeBron's friends as well as other NBA stars commented on the post to wish Bronny a happy birthday.

"Happy. C Day 2 da Prince? Good job, King and Queen?" Wrote Snoop Dogg.
"Happy birthday nephew," added Shaquille O'Neal while Isaiah Thomas replied, "Happy birthday, young killa."
Jamie Foxx also sent birthday wishes, as did former basketball star Gilbert Arenas, who wrote, "Happy birthday, Prince James (the next king) ????"
Dwyane Wade's son Zaire also replied: "YnG?"
In August, LeBron opened up that he wasn't with his family in the NBA bubble and how difficult it was for him.
"I miss hell in my family," he said, according to USA Today. "My wife, my children, my mother. And so on and so forth. It's a big challenge."
While his children - sons Bronny and Bryce, 13, and daughter Zhuri, 5 - may have stayed in California, LeBron's wife Savannah joined him in Orlando. The two have been together since high school and have been married for seven years.
