Liam Neeson has bad memories of being ready for a role in The Princess Bride.
The actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! There he recalled the time he met with director Rob Reiner, possibly to star in the 1987 hit movie.
"I didn't audition, but I lived in London and was asked to meet Rob Reiner, the director. I was pretty nervous knowing this was a big movie," said Neeson, 68.
“I had entered the London office and Rob Reiner looked at me and said, 'He's not a giant! How tall are you?' I said six feet four, "That's big. He's not a giant! "" Neeson remembered the director who said.
"So there was no 'hello thank you.' I thought, 'OK, the next time I see Rob Reiner I'll tell him he's very rude,' Neeson said, but made it clear that he has since "forgiven" the director.
The role eventually went to the late wrestler Andre the Giant, who was a full foot taller than Neeson.

Last month, the stars of the iconic film met for a virtual table that benefited the Wisconsin Democratic Party as the 2020 presidential election drew near.
The 3-hour virtual meetup, hosted by Patton Oswalt, included Reiner and actors Robin Wright, Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Billy Crystal, Carol Kane, Chris Sarandon, Wallace Shaw and Christopher Guest.
Guest stars appeared for actors who weren't available, including Finn Wolfhard, Josh Gad, and Whoopi Goldberg.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, more than 110,000 people donated at least $ 1 each to prepare for the virtual reunion.
