Lion Attacks Leopard On The Road And It's Over Quickly

Like many street fights, it ended quickly. (Check out the clip below.)
A lion chased a leopard walking on the road and attacked it in South Africa's Kruger National Park. The video was posted on the Kruger Sightings Shows on Wednesday.
The spotted cat swiped its claws at its larger attacker and made the lion jump in the air to avoid contact. The leopard then slipped into the bush and the lion refused to pursue it.
The lion walked another 50 meters "and then disappeared into the bush across the street," wrote Kayla du Toit, the 18-year-old university student who made the video, on Latest Sightings.
"To see only two of these amazing animals at the same time and then to see such a rare interaction was really amazing and one of the best feelings ever!" you wrote Toit.
This quick beef could have been a lot more serious. Leopards and lions are enemies and will fight to the death. According to a 2017 study, more than 20% of leopard deaths in the region are caused by lions.
