This little boy's girlfriend became furious when she saw a note his mom had left in his lunch box that read, "I love you baby."
There is nothing more beautiful than the whirlwind of young love. Just ask TikToker and parent Katelynn Harvey (@katelynnharvey1), who recently shared a hilarious video of her infatuated little boy reminiscing about his tumultuous lunchtime, when the note she put in his lunchbox read, "I love you." 'Babe' stuck, it didn't sit too well with his girlfriend, and viewers are losing it because of his tired reaction.
The clip, titled "Already Going to Start," begins with a shot of the little boy wearing an inverted baseball cap as he sits on a couch and plays on his iPad.
"Have you eaten your whole lunch?" Harvey asks her son, who slowly looks up from his iPad with a weary look on his face and matter-of-factly replies, "No, actually, because my girlfriend was sitting right across from me and you had a note that said 'I I love you baby.'”
The little boy glances sideways at Harvey in anticipation of her reply. "Because I put a note in your lunch box that said, 'I love you, baby?'" she asks her son, who immediately says "Yes!"
"Your girlfriend got mad?" Harvey inquires further. With his head resting on his hand, the dazed little boy's eyes widen as he repeats it bit by bit to his mother at the end of the video.
Viewers took advantage of the comments to crack a few jokes and share their relationship advice for elementary school sweethearts.
"The little man just changed his Facebook status to 'It's complicated,'" joked one user.
"When he said, 'No, actually,' I knew the story was going to be good," said one TikToker.
"Thank god you didn't put a ring pop in there," commented one viewer.
Who knew elementary school could have as much drama as a soap opera?
