dr Mehmet Oz and Dave McCormick continue to battle for the GOP Senate nomination in Pennsylvania, with less than half a percentage point separating the two frontrunners through late Tuesday night, meaning the race may not be held until Wednesday. There are still more votes to be counted in the counties where Oz has performed well, and a ballot printing bug in Lancaster County that will require workers to manually recreate and rescan 16,000 mail-in ballots over the next few days this may also slow count if the race stays so close.

Rep. Conor Lamb has approved the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate primary, Politico's Holly Otterbein reports.
According to Decision Desk HQ, Lt. gov. John Fetterman expected to win the competition. As of 11 p.m. Eastern Time, Fetterman was running ahead of Lamb by more than 32 percentage points.
We still don't know who the Republican nominee is and may not find out tonight. In any case, the general election could decide which party will control the Senate.

Polling stations are closed across the country, ending an evening of state primaries across the US. The final results will be out in Idaho, which has just completed its final polls, and Oregon, which is voting entirely by mail.
The final race that will decide former President Donald Trump's status as kingmaker in the Republican Party is taking place in Idaho. There, incumbent Governor Brad Little faces a major challenge from his own Trump-backed Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin.
Oregon has an open primary for governor after the current governor, Democrat Kate Brown, has a limited term. Seats in the US House of Representatives are also up for grabs, with tensions rising between centrist and progressive Democrats in the House of Representatives.
Follow us to see the results of the Oregon gubernatorial and congressional races and the Idaho gubernatorial race.

Check out this inside profile of Senator Chuck Edwards, the Republican who just unseated Rep. Madison Cawthorn in North Carolina's 11th congressional district.
Senior reporter Camila DeChalus traveled to Hendersonville and spoke with the state senator in May to learn more about North Carolina's rising star. She found Cawthorn's opposite in Edwards: a contestant who lacked his rival's over-the-top bravado and a sparse social media presence.
When DeChalus asked about Cawthorn's wealth of recent controversy, Edwards told her that "it's obvious that he [Cawthorn] has been involved in political glory and has turned his back on the people of these mountains."
He said that his "concerns about Madison Cawthorn stem from his performance and poor congressional attendance record."
