Lori Loughlin, Mossimo Giannulli Drop $13 Million in La Quinta’s Madison Club

It's only been a few months since both were released from the Pokey - or more precisely, from home custody - but Mossimo Giannulli and Lori Loughlin waste no time returning to the kind of lifestyle only the most elite members of society enjoy can. Last summer the couple spent $ 9.5 million on their primary residence, a modern farmhouse in Hidden Hills, and now records show they lost an additional $ 13 million to buy a family mansion in Palm Desert.
Aunt Becky's new desert excavation is at Madison Club, a gated golf community of La Quinta known for its Tom Fazio-designed golf course, chic homes, and an impressive list of prominent residents. Some of the other extravagant homes at the Madison Club include Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Nike's Phil Knight, music mogul Lucian Grainge, Cindy Crawford, and Scooter Braun.
The sellers of this home were Seattle-based couple Michael and Alexis Rowell, co-founders of the insurtech startup Assurance, which was acquired for more than $ 2.3 billion in 2019. The Rowells committed a proverbial murder in the deal after buying the house from scratch in the late 19's for "only" $ 9.5 million. Since then, COVID has happened, and desert house values have skyrocketed, and the Rowells have made a profit of $ 3.5 million - before taxes, brokerage commissions, renovations, and other closing costs, of course.
Since the deal took place outside of the market and the house was never put up for public sale, some of the inner details of the property remain a mystery. But tax records show the home was purpose built with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths on 9,300 square feet of living space, all on a single level. There is an attached garage and a truck stop on one side of the building. The property is designed with drought-tolerant plantings and artificial grass to ensure carefree maintenance. A courtyard has its own reflective pool and movie projection screen, while in the background there is another pool - this one with an infinite border and much larger - flanked by two spas.
The house itself also has numerous amenities, starting with an open floor plan that brings all of the public spaces together in one stone-floored room. The glass walls retract for seamless indoor and outdoor living, and there are huge decks for outdoor entertainment. Highlights include a wet bar that doesn't get out of hand in a five-star resort, a movie theater, powder room with its own lighted stone sink, and a master bathroom wrapped entirely in marble. Outside, a fire pit has flames that look spectacular at dusk and dance against the rugged outline of the Santa Rose Mountains.
