'Lots of talking': Thunberg's pessimism in Milan
Thousands of young people, including Thunberg, will gather in Milan this week, with around 400 from around 190 countries meeting policy makers, either remotely or in person, to develop proposals to tackle global warming.
Their proposals will be considered by the Climate and Energy Ministers, who will meet later that week in the same location in the Italian financial center for their pre-COP26 meeting, and the best will be presented for consideration at the Summit in Glasgow, Scotland.
When asked whether she expects a lot from the talks, Thunberg said:
"To be honest, not much ... we expect it to be like any other meeting, with a lot of talk," she told journalists.
