A man is dead after an early morning shooting in southeast Atlanta, police said.
Atlanta police said they arrived at the 100 block of Campbell Street around 6 a.m. after receiving a call about a person being shot.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.
Investigators arrived in the area shortly after the shooting to learn more about the deadly shooting and its circumstances.
According to police, the shooting suspect, identified as Joshua Warren, owned the property but did not live in the home. The house was empty and police told Channel 2 Action News the victim was shot while trying to escape from the house.
The police did not provide any information on the identity of the deceased man.

Police said the circumstances surrounding the shooting gave detectives probable cause to arrest Warren. Police charged him with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while committing a crime.
The police are continuing to investigate this incident. Warren was sent to the DeKalb County Jail.
