Mariah Carey, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more show support to Britney Spears during conservatorship trial

After Britney Spears broke her silence on Wednesday about her 13-year-old conservatory, there was a surge of support from Hollywood - including Spears' ex Justin Timberlake.
"From what we saw today, we should all support Britney by now," Timberlake tweeted. "Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long it's been ... what happens to her just isn't right."

Following Timberlake's message, stars like Andy Cohen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Keke Palmer and Mariah Carey took to social media to send Spears support. "We love you Britney !!! Stay strong," Carey tweeted, while Parker simply hashtagged "#FreeBritney," the movement started by longtime fans of Spears to rid them of their conservatory .
On Wednesday, Spears appeared in court to speak for the first time publicly about the conservatory, under which she has lived since 2008. It was the first time since 2019 that she appeared in court, despite the fact that the courtroom was open to the public at the time.
"I want my life back," she told Los Angeles Supreme Court Justice Brenda Penny as she argued for her independence, adding that she wanted things like getting married and having a baby - all things that are currently in are impossible in their current situation.
"I feel physically sick about this Britney Spears news," said Meghan McCain, co-host of View. "Women are not heard who are not trusted, they are accused of being insane for every little deviation from the perfect facade. We as a society have completely abandoned them and their father should be in jail."
