Mark Murphy: “We’re not idiots. Aaron Rodgers will be back.”

The Green Bay Packers have spoken.
CEO Mark Murphy, who appeared on the 5th Quarter Show at the WNFL in Green Bay on Monday, addressed recent comments from quarterback Aaron Rodgers pointing to uncertainty about his future with the team.
"We're not idiots," Murphy said. "Aaron Rodgers will be back, he's our leader."
He's a leader they undermined and confused by adding his obvious replacement last year, using a first round pick and a fourth round pick to acquire quarterback Jordan Love. At the very least, Rodgers wants clarity on whether the team plans to move from Rodgers to Love in the next year, the year after, or the year after.
Unless Love was a Garoppolo-style choice aimed at starting a fire under Rodgers, the Packers designed Love with the idea that he would eventually play. If the packers want Rodgers to sign up to them for 2021, it would be wise to put Rodgers at least for 2022 and 2023.
Even an idiot can find out.
