Maya Rudolph Gave Her Best Kamala Harris Performance Yet Last Night on 'SNL'

The Vice Presidential Debate last Wednesday definitely seemed a lot more of a debate than what happened on September 29 between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. If you don't count this surprise cameo of the now-known fly on Twitter, Kamala Harris definitely stole the show with her classic facial expressions, and replies every time Vice President Mike Pence dared to interrupt her.
I don't know about you, but I was looking forward to what Maya Rudolph would do with this golden opportunity, and she definitely made the most of it. In the cold of last night, Rudolph came on stage alongside Beck Bennett's pence with all her comedic butts.
She came on stage, Lysol cans spraying at full speed. "That's right; the 'Sentator' from Kamalafornia is present," she said.
As soon as Rudolph answered the first question from presenter Susan Page (brilliantly played by Kate McKinnon), when Harris answered, Bennett cut her off as Pence. Then we got our first glorious "Mr. Vice President, I speak. I speak. But I speak."
Bennett came back: "I see."
Rudolph: Yes, I don't think so, because you are talking and I am talking.
Here's the thing; Nowadays, SNL doesn't even have to strain to exaggerate real events. This is how the debate went on Wednesday:
Another perfect moment was when Rudolph as Harris said, "I'm going to stare at you like I'm in a TJ Maxx and a white lady just asked me if I work there."
Just like the real life debate, a surprise guest appeared to steal the show: Jim Carrey, who plays Joe Biden and transforms into The Fly. Soon he will be accompanied by a second fly, Herman Cain reborn as a fly upset by complications from COVID-19 after his death: "Reincarnated as a damn fly and those fools, Trump and Pence, killed me, man! .. If you see this at home, don't trust that white devil for that 'Rona'. "
There won't be a presidential debate this week, but we hope the flies are back at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee on October 22nd.
