McDonald’s sets social media ablaze with 'disgusting' new menu item: ‘It looks worse than I imagined’

A new McDonald's "Spam-Burger" drives fast food lovers into a frenzy.
The reason? In addition to replacing canned pork, the sandwich is loaded with a confusing topping: crumbled oreos cookies.
According to the Associated Press, McDonald's released the Spam burger as a limited product on December 21st. As of now, the sandwich is only available in China, but its existence seemed to spark a reaction among fast foodies worldwide.

The savory-sweet burger, which is also topped with mayonnaise, is one of McDonald's China's "member-only" promotions. The offers are published every Monday and offer customers of the chain special discounts and limited edition items.
According to CNN, McDonald's made a total of 400,000 burgers for the promotion. Item retails for CNY 13.14 (about $ 2).
Social media users had a lot to say about the spam burger, which some described as "gross" or "nasty".
