Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney Were Reportedly 'On the Outs' Long Before the Scandal

Jessica Mulrony's decision to privately threaten and silence black influencer Sasha Exeter's livelihood had major ramifications for Mulroney's career after Exeter went public and reported on Mulroney's treatment of her. CTV is no longer broadcasting its reality program I Do Redo, and Good Morning America will no longer use Mulroney as a fashion carrier. Did it cost Mulroney her friendship with Meghan Markle? The Duchess of Sussex has neither publicly commented on this, nor is she likely to.

However, page 6 spoke to a source that claims that Mulroney and Meghan's friendship was strained long before Mulroney's scandal. Meghan's representative declined to comment on the story on page six, so do whatever you want with it.
Several sources reported on page 6 that the Duchess believed that Mulroney "profited" professionally from her position as Meghan's close friend and stylist. (The Duchess has been styling now and for over a year.) Mulroney gained much more prominence after Meghan joined the royal family - enough to get coverage for her friendship and even a profile in Harper's Bazaar in honor of U.S. branches GMA position.
A source said on page 6: "I don't know what the turning point was, but Jess has been on the track for some time." Your friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when a person basically turns friendship into a career? "

Mulroney never spoke about Meghan. In her profile at Harper's Bazaar, Mulroney said, "This is my first interview since the wedding or anything. Listen, everyone needs a little privacy in their lives. There are certain things that are very dear to my heart There are things that I will never talk about safely. My life is an open book, but there are always a few secret pages in the background that nobody can read. "
But when she commented on Exeter's Instagram video, where Exeter discussed how Mulroney was threatening her, she was referring to Meghan, her "closest friend, who put the race in the foreground".
"@sashaexeterr, you're right when you say 'this shit has to stop,'" Mulroney wrote. "As leaders, we have to band together and declare injustice. I know we have different experiences. And I have to acknowledge and understand that in the course of a heated argument. I'm clearly sorry that I didn't." That with you and for every damage I've done. As I told you privately, I had a very public and personal experience with my closest friend, in which the race was in the foreground. It was deeply instructive. I have learned a lot from this promise to continue learning and listening to how I can use my privilege to raise and support black voices. "
Exeter privately revealed that Mulroney had threatened her with a libel lawsuit after the comment was released. "Here's what happens when you call someone with privilege and wealth, okay?" Exeter said. "They publicly make an apology or statement and privately send you behind closed doors to file a lawsuit against you. I'm not entirely sure what's going on because yesterday in my video I was very clear that I was' I will not be silenced and I will not shut up. I will go forward and do what I have to do to essentially protect myself at this point but I am confident to do so if I know that I have the truth, the clear truth. "
Mulroney posted a statement on her Twitter shortly after CTV announced its decision to stop broadcasting I Do Redo. She wrote:
The events that have taken place in the past few days have made it clear that I still have something to do. I realize more than ever that as a white, privileged woman I am way ahead of so many, especially those in the black community.

I respect CTV's decision and have decided to withdraw from my professional commitments at this point. I will take the time to think about my family, learn them and focus on them.

I would also like to take a moment to clarify that I do not intend to take legal action. I was wrong and I'm really sorry. I am still more committed than ever to support efforts against racism and will do everything I can to correct this injustice.

Page 6 is not the only way to report what Meghan is supposed to say about Mulroney's comments. Entertainment Tonight was informed by a source near Meghan that it was "painful" for her to learn that one of her close friends could have made such "misguided and insensitive comments".
The store claimed that Meghan was "embarrassed" to be involved in Mulroney's controversy, especially since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with community leaders to learn more about and support the Black Lives Matter movement.
"Meghan and Harry have always supported a policy of diversity and inclusiveness," said the source. The source noted that learning about Mulroney's comments was "hurtful" for Meghan.
