Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could travel to the UK before the end of the year.
A source close to Harry and Markle told Harper's Bazaar that without the novel coronavirus pandemic, the couple "would have been back to the UK" to celebrate Princess Beatrice's wedding and annual Trooping the Color.
Markle's trial for her case against the Mail on Sunday begins January 11, 2021 in London. So she would have to be quarantined in the UK for 14 days before she can testify in person.

It is possible that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will pay a visit to the UK before the end of the year.
Reports from the Daily Mail and Page 6 speculate that Harry might soon travel to Britain without Markle to meet with the Queen.
However, a source close to Harry and Markle told Harper's Bazaar that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are likely to visit England together.
"Without COVID-19 and travel restrictions, they would have returned to the UK for things like Beatrice's wedding and Trooping of the Color," the source told Harper's Bazaar in an article published Saturday.
The source was referring to the wedding of Princess Beatrice - Prince Harry's cousin - who married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony in July, as well as Trooping the Color, a traditional television parade at Buckingham Palace that took place in a private year this year Downsized ceremony at Windsor Castle.

"It's also worth noting that the hearing for the Mail is set to begin on Sunday January 11, 2021 at the High Court in London. If nothing changes, two more weeks of self-isolation will be required before it begins," the same source told Harper's Bazaar.
In October 2019, Markle sued the Mail am Sonntag, a sister publication of the Daily Mail, for publishing parts of a handwritten letter she allegedly sent her father, Thomas Markle, in 2018.
In May it was announced that Markle had lost the first part of the court battle. As a result, she paid more than $ 87,000 in legal fees for the publication. Most recently, in September, a judge ruled that the Mail on Sunday ruled that Markle had “worked” with authors of Finding Freedom, a book about the couple.
In order for Markle to attend the trial in person to testify, she would likely have to be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival in the UK, which would mean she and Harry would have to arrive at least two weeks before the court hearing.
Markle and Harry's last visit to the UK together was in March and they have lived in California ever since
Photographer Samir Hussein took this photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in March. This was one of the last times they would appear together in public as working royals in the UK.
In early March, Markle and Harry last made public appearances as working members of the UK royal family when they were attending their final official engagements.
They officially gave up their HRH degrees in April and have lived in California since then, most recently moving to Santa Barbara.
One of the events the couple attended was the Endeavor Fund Awards in London.
There the photographer Samir Hussein took the now famous picture of the couple sharing an umbrella upon arrival at the fair. He told UK GQ magazine that it was one of the "most iconic photos" he took and that "perfect timing, great lighting, strong symbolism and amazing subjects" made for a memorable shot.
Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not immediately respond to Insiders' request for comment.
