Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Rep Breaks Silence on Reports Lilibet’s Christening Won’t Happen in U.K.

It's been a relatively quiet week for Royals News, but that hasn't stopped some of the British tabloids from knowing when and where the christening of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's daughter Lilibet "Lili" Diana into a lewd story will take place. The representative of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a rare comment on the couple's actual plans, making it clear that they were not yet set in stone, despite several "sources" stories claiming that Lili would not be baptized in England.
The Sussexes spokesman said on The Daily Mail that the plans for Lili's baptism were still in the final stages and the claims were otherwise "just speculation."
That comment did not prevent The Daily Mail from making a headline based on the allegations of a source, rather than the actual testimony of the agent. Her headline read, "Harry and Meghan 'will NOT bring Lilibet to the Church of England for baptism and will likely choose to have an episcopal ceremony in California instead," royal sources reveal. "
Her report comes after The Telegraph also published a story claiming that Lili would not be baptized with the Queen in Great Britain, with "Duke and Duchess of Sussex could baptize Lilibet in the US as Great Britain is excluded" as Headline.
“There will be no baptism in Britain. It is not happening, ”said a source who was referred to by the outlet as a“ palace insider ”. A second source was less certain that baptism in the UK was "very unlikely".
The reality, based on the representative's testimony at this point, is that anything could happen and the plans will likely be announced by the Sussexes team in due course once they are truly completed.
Meghan and Harry welcomed Lili on June 4th. The couple spent the summer on parental leave. The Duke and Duchess have yet to take Lili on a public trip to Britain, but their daughter met the Queen, the woman she was named after.
The queen was one of the first Lili to video call after she was born, People reported on June 8. "[Meghan and Harry] were very excited and couldn't wait to share their daughter's arrival," a source told the spout.
