The festive portrait shared on social media of one of Duchess Meghan's near and dear patrons, Mayhew, features an illustrated scene of the family of three at their new home in Montecito, California. The artwork shows Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan and their son Archie together outside, along with their two beloved puppies Guy and Pula.
The original photo was taken at home earlier this month by Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, a Sussex spokeswoman. "The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, was chosen by Archie and the tree will be replanted after the holidays," added the spokesman.
In addition to sharing their 2020 Christmas card, the couple made a personal donation to Mayhew, an animal-centric charity based in the UK, to support their work in the local communities and overseas.
Meghan wrote on her family card: "This year we as a family have made donations for you to various charities. From a local California organization helping families out of homelessness, to two of our UK patronages: one that supports animal welfare and The Common Good and the Other, a memorial fund for a valued friend who helps raise children and fight poverty in Uganda. We have recognized her work for all of us. "
The Sussexes Christmas Portrait follows the release of other Christmas cards shared by members of the Royal Family, including one from Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis; and a bouquet of flowers from Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla.
