'Melrose Place' alum Heather Locklear is engaged to longtime boyfriend Chris Heisser
Heather Locklear is engaged to her "favorite person".
The actress and her long-time friend, former motocross racer Chris Heisser, got engaged in April, Locklear's representative Cece Yorke confirmed to the US TODAY on Friday.
Locklear and Heisser are high school favorites who sparked their romance years ago. In 2017 Locklear shared a picture with Heisser and wrote: "My favorite person on earth. 40 years later."
This is the third marriage for Locklear, who was married to Mötley Crüe frontman Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993 and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora from 1994 to 2007. Locklear and Sambora share daughter Ava Elizabeth Sambora, 22.
Locklear celebrated their engagement after their one-year sobriety anniversary. "Hugs will come later! One year sober today!" The star posted a quote from Maya Angelou on Instagram on April 21.

Locklear and Heisser's romance had some bumps on the street.
In 2019, Locklear did not plead eight charges of offenses by batteries and resistance officials that resulted from two confrontations with first responders at their California home in February and June 2018.
Locklear, known for her work on Melrose Place, Dynasty, and T.J. Hooker, was sentenced to a 30-day treatment program in August 2019 instead of a 120-day prison sentence.

Heather Locklear was arrested at her home on February 25, 2018. Another incident in June 2018 led to further charges against the actress.
Last week, however, Locklear thanked the first responders at the front of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We are all experiencing a challenging time," said Locklear, according to Fox News in her Instagram story. "First of all, I would like to thank all of the first responders, the people you order from and who deliver, the supplies, the doctors, the nurses, the rescue workers, everyone who helps us, the bank employees, the people who work and maybe be vulnerable.
