Michael Strahan Said He Couldn't "Speak Up" During His Time at Live With Kelly
During a town hall meeting with Bob Iger, Michael Strahan revealed that during his time as co-host of Live With Kelly, he felt he couldn't "speak out loud and speak out" because he feared being seen as "threatening" . Page 6 reports that the meeting took place earlier this month and that Strahan raised concerns about ABC and Disney employees.
"Michael said there were some very tense managerial situations that became argumentative and loud on the show and he was very aware that he could not speak or raise his voice because he feared to be considered a threat "said a source told page six.

Strahan, who is currently a presenter on Good Morning America, did not specifically mention Live, but sources confirmed that his points related to his time on the show. Previously, Strahan had described his time on the show saying that he expected to be a partner, but he felt like he had relegated to the Ripa's "buddy". He has no resentment against Kelly Ripa, he added, although he noticed that she refused to meet with him before stepping down from the show.
"I don't hate her. I respect her for what she can do at work," he said. "I can't say enough about how good she is at her job."
In addition to Strahan, ABC's senior justice correspondent, Pierre Thomas, Alex Perez from Chicago, Steve Osunsami from Atlanta, Marcus Moore from Dallas and Marc Brown, Eyewitness News presenter from Los Angeles, attended the town hall meeting.
