Milwaukee reportedly talked to Indiana about Victor Oladipo trade

Indiana is testing the water of a Victor Oladipo deal (and he wants out ... or he doesn't, depending on who you ask).
After another playoff loss, Milwaukee would like to add another playmaker to the list to help Giannis Antetokounmpo.
These mutual interests led the Pacers and Bucks to discuss an Oladipo deal, but nothing came of it, reports Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
According to league sources, the Pacers have been talking to the Bucks about a trade in Oladipo, although it seems unlikely at the time. Oladipo could be bought for the right price if the Sixers were looking to bet on a return to pre-injury form.
The last sentence is key to any Oladipo trade - can he get back to his All-NBA form? The advantage of being traded to Milwaukee - or the Lakers or the Clippers, both of whom have been rumored to be - is that he doesn't have to be all the way back, just a return too very good would make him the second / third playmaker that these teams need. If traded to the Knicks, they would be looking for the All-NBA version of Oladipo, which played a season before he tore his quadriceps tendon.
Oladipo makes $ 21 million in the final year of his contract next season, and in his next deal, he's thinking of max. For every team that acts for him, the next season would be more of a test run. To see if it fits and how much it helps you move the needle, you can decide if and at what price to re-sign it. Since other teams consider Oladipo to be a rental property for a year, this reduces its commercial value.
Make sure the Pacers are an active team this off-season, with Oladipo and maybe a big man like Myles Turner showing up in many trade talks.
