Months Before Meeting Clare Crawley, Dale Moss Opened Up About His Dream Girl
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - OCTOBER 23: Dale Moss visits HBOs
Still looking for more tea on Dale Moss (you know, the handsome soccer star model who quickly captured Clare Crawley's heart in The Bachelorette and is apparently now engaged to the 39 year old barber)? Yes, right here, and we've just spotted four cups, just in time for the highly anticipated premiere of Crawley's season. During an interview with the video and podcast series MaleRoom in October 2019, a few months before the candidates for Crawley's Bachelorette season were announced, Moss talked about relationships and his dream girl, and based on his responses, it certainly sounds like it he and Crawley are a perfect match.
When asked to define romance, Moss gave a hell of a powerless answer. "I think romance is a bit vulnerable to be honest," he said. "You have to be willing to fail, but I also think sometimes you have to say 'fuck it' and take a risk without really knowing what's going to happen. And at the end of the day you have to have passion and love at the same time." We would say bidding to fall in love on national television is a great opportunity. Talk about premonition!

Moss also immediately made it clear that he knows exactly what he wants in a relationship - and what he doesn't. "I always say if it doesn't excite me, I don't," explained the 31-year-old, adding that his ideal partner must have a substance that extends below the surface. "There definitely has to be attraction, or almost like, 'Damn, is she not in my league? Is she too much for me?' I meet a lot of women who on the outside would think I was getting this feeling, but the substance or some other thing might not be there, "he said. "At the end of the day ... when you have energy, carry yourself with confidence, and you connect and have a conversation, you can see into your soul, you can really get good feeling." Welp, it basically sounds like he just described Crawley to a T. Big energy? Check. Trust? Check. Ability to have a deep conversation? Check!
However, Moss said the biggest deal breaker when it comes to relationships is feeling too controlled by your significant other. "Being in control is one thing that really bothers me, and I feel like if I ever feel trapped in a situation or relationship, that's the worst for me."

On the subject of temptation, Moss said commitment is the name of the game for him, but he reiterated that he will only invest his time in someone with depth. "I've never had a problem with making a commitment to make someone really committed," he said. "I'm not going to lie, I love women, I'm sexual, I'm open, but I really get angry when they're shallow or when there's no depth so I'd rather invest in someone, but please believe I will Take my time and be sure it's right, I'm in no rush, but ... I'm pretty straightforward and understand where I want to go in my life with certain goals and I don't think it's going to be long for anyone Stretch will be to pull me in that direction when the time is right. "
Well, it sure sounds like the timing was right for Moss and Crawley! We can't wait to see how things play out between the two lovebirds this season of The Bachelorette starting this week.
