Moonshiners Star Lance Waldroup Dead at 30

Lance Waldroup, who appeared in over 50 episodes of the Discovery series Moonshiners, has passed away.
According to his obituary, the 30-year-old television personality died on February 25 at his North Carolina residence. Graham County Sheriff's Office also confirms E Lance's death! News.
After learning of his death, the Discovery's Moonshiners Facebook page paid tribute to the star. "We are saddened to lose Lance Waldroup," the statement began. "As an adventurous distiller who performed with his father at the beginning of the Moonshiners season, Lance was always keen to take his flavourful shine recipes to a new level."
"He will be sorely missed," concluded the tribute. "Our thoughts and prayers go with his family at this difficult time."
As fans of the documentaries may remember, Lance performed with his father Jeff Waldroup on Moonshiners from 2012 to 2019. He left the show to care for his mother, Lynn Cape Waldroup, after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, according to a GoFundMe page set up in Lance's honor.

"The Waldroup family is devastated by Lance's death," said the campaign page. "It was unexpected."
At this point in time, the cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Lance was preceded in death by his sister Lindsey Waldroup and brother Lamar Waldroup. According to the campaign website, Lance suffered from "survivor's guilt," which resulted in drug addiction. However, as noted on the page, he turned his life around and recovered from rehab.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 6th.
