MTV Renews Jersey Shore: Family Vacation After Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi's Exit

Jersey Shore: Family vacation comes back - without Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.
MTV announced on Thursday that it has extended the reality show for a fourth season. Last week's season finale, which documented Polizzi's decision to leave the show, was the top-rated episode in nearly two years, according to the network.
The episode recorded Angelina Pivarnick's wedding to Chris Larangeira last November. The drama between Pivarnick and her female comrades broke out after Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, and Deena Cortese's non-colored bridesmaid speech led to boos from the other guests, and at the end of the night Polizzi declared that they "finished" the show be .
Pivarnick was angry as they insisted that their speech did no harm. And the tensions don't seem to have subsided; The stars continued to argue on Twitter when the episode aired.

Jersey Shore was originally premiered in 2009 and restarted in 2018 as a family vacation with the original cast without Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.
Polizzi announced for the first time that she would withdraw from the popular show last December. When she spoke to PEOPLE earlier this year, she considered the decision and found that her television career was not over.
"I had to keep going," she said. "It's just not for me anymore. Drama has never been my thing. Especially now I don't want to leave my children and don't see them for days to do that. I want to go and have a good time with friends and roommates, and then coming home and becoming a mother. So this season has been very stressful and I just had no fun. I want to do something that is more uplifting in my life. "
"I'm definitely not done with television," she added. "I just finished this show."

Polizzi - who shares daughter Giovanna (5) and sons Lorenzo (7) and Angelo (1) with husband Jionni LaValle - said her comrades-at-first tried to stop them, but eventually "accepted" their decision.
"When they first realized that I was serious about quitting, they all hit me one by one to change my mind," she said. "But I said, 'No, I can't, I just can't do it anymore.' You understand now. "
She said she still talks to them "every day" via group chat and predicted that the show would go on without them.
"When Sam left, we were still strong. Although I'm leaving, there are still many parts in this family and each one of us plays a big role," she said. "Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean the show will end."
