NBA betting: If you're a disillusioned Knicks fan, at least you can bet on them having NBA's worst record

Betting which NBA team is losing the most this season can be fun if you're a fan of misery.
BetMGM is offering a prop bet on which team will have the most losses in this regular season, which starts on Tuesday. When you bet on a team's total winnings in a sport, you commit to competing against that team in every game, which can be strange. Betting that a team is the worst in the league takes that to another level. Not only do they want one team to lose, they want them to lose more than any other team in the league.
The team that could cause the greatest misery for their fan base are the New York Knicks, and they are the co-favorite to end this season with the most losses.
Knicks, Cavs preferred to close with the most losses
If Knicks fans expect another terrible season for their team, they can at least benefit from it.
The Knicks top the odds at BetMGM to finish with the most losses this season:
Curtsey +325
Cleveland Cavaliers +325
Detroit Pistons +400
Oklahoma City Thunder +400
Charlotte Hornets +900
Every other team is at least +1200. Odds are listed for each team. If you hate the Los Angeles Lakers, you can bet they will lead the league by 2,000 to 1 in losses. You won't win, but it could be cathartic.
The curtsey could be a little more careful. There's not much talent in New York unless rookie first round winner Obi Toppin is an instant star or sophomore wing, R.J. Barrett takes a big leap. Even then, the rotation of the Knicks is filled with inefficient offensive players. New coach Tom Thibodeau has a long year ahead of him, but only one team has to be worse for that bet.

Which team will finish with the most losses?
If the Knicks are just a little better than expected, there may be an opportunity for a team to hit most of the losses with longer odds.
Oklahoma City is tearing things down and could keep veteran pieces moving. OKC has Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and not much else. Even at +400 there could be some value for them to lead the league on losses, especially if they continue to trade veterans.
The longest shot that creates a little intrigue is the Houston Rockets. If they end up trading with James Harden, John Wall won't be able to recover from injuries and some of their other off-season changes won't fit, they could struggle. The missiles are obviously not likely to fall that far, but they are 150 to 1 to lead the NBA on losses, and there is a somewhat realistic way for them to run a run on them.
Some teams will have a miserable season and lead the NBA in defeat. At least this team will make some money for weather.
