Meghan McCain decided against sharing photos of her pregnancy and told fans in August that "there are a lot of cruel things written about me in the press almost every day".
"I usually just let go of it because being a downright conservative woman on TV is tied to the territory - but I've felt very protected and private during that time in my life and in my child's privacy," he said View presenter in an Instagram Stories post about the summer. "I hope all of the wonderful people who are so supportive and kind understand!"

But now that she has welcomed daughter Liberty Sage, who was born on September 28, the talk show host has changed her mind. On Sunday, the new mom posted a series of never-before-seen selfies taken at the end of her pregnancy.
"The year wasn't all bad," she wrote alongside three photos showing her baby bump days before birth.
McCain, whose pregnancy stayed off-camera while filming The View at home during the pandemic, was also discreet when it came to showing her nearly 3-month-old daughter's face.
McCain stated her reluctance to share pregnancy details in a May tweet, citing the negative comments she frequently receives online and her desire to "get her unborn child out of the social media sewer as much as possible."
