North Korean leader chokes up during speech
In a gray suit and tie, Kim Jong Un's voice was full of emotion and at one point he had to take off his glasses as he thanked the troops for their sacrifice in responding to natural disasters and preventing a health crisis thanks to the video footage broadcast by the state television on KRT on Sunday (October 11th).
Kim accused international sanctions and typhoons of preventing him from fulfilling promises of economic progress.
He spoke to crowds over the weekend on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Labor Party.
In the video, North Korean people in military uniforms and traditional Korean costumes shed tears as they heard the nearly half-hour speech.
