NZ tightens rules to contain virus at border

New Zealand was forced to introduce stricter quarantine measures after more cases of coronavirus related to travel abroad were reported.
From Monday (June 22nd), the entry ban for cruise ships will also be extended.
New Zealand was one of the first countries in the world to remove all restrictions after it was declared virus-free - it is aggressive and the early response to the infection has been internationally praised.
However, there have been few cases in the past few days.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the cruise ship ban will now go beyond June 30 - when it was supposed to end.
Ardern also said that quarantined people may need to run multiple virus tests and run negative tests before leaving isolation facilities.
New Zealand reported two new cases of the virus on Monday.
Both were in managed isolation systems.
It increases the number of active cases to nine.
The government was criticized earlier this month when two infected women from Britain were allowed to travel the country.
