Olympics: Warriors’ Draymond Green tallies two points, four assists in Team USA’s upset loss in group stage vs. France, 83-76

In the opening game of the group stage of Team USA's 2020 Olympic run, the men's basketball team with France faced Evan Fournier, Nicolas Batum and Rudy Gobert.
Despite Team USA's eight point lead at halftime, France fought their way back to snap a six point lead before the final quarter. The Americans took the lead again in the fourth quarter but struggled to finish the game.
After a series of misses by Team USA, France achieved a surprising victory in the group stage with 83:76. Fournier scored 28 points in 34 minutes on 11-of-22 shooting from the ground, which was game-high. Team USA's loss to France ended a 25-game Olympic series of victories.
For the Americans, recently crowned NBA Champion Jrue Holiday scored 18 points in a 5-of-13 shooting from the ground with seven boards and four assists. Bam Adebayo, Damian Lillard and Kevin Durant all made for double-digit hits.
Golden State Warriors striker Draymond Green earned a start for Gregg Popovich's roster, scoring two points in a 1-of-1 shootout from the ground with four assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 21 minutes.
