Oprah's Interview with Meghan Markle & Prince Harry May Be Re-Edited to Tone It Down
The air date for Oprah Winfrey's interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is less than two weeks away (it's March 7th, if it's not circled in red on your calendar), and we're excited to see what's revealed. But apparently that's not entirely clear yet. While the 90-minute special was filmed last week, a new report states that the talk show host and her royal subjects "may have been reworked or even partially re-shot due to the rift it caused with the royal family and 99 must be hospitalization of one-year-old Prince Philip, ”according to the Daily Mail.
Queen Elizabeth certainly dampened the couple's spirits after officially demolishing their patronage and Harry's military honorary degrees. Apparently, the Queen doesn't believe that as senior royal members you can be half in and half out. This is a fair consequence considering that the US duo have established themselves in the entertainment industry since moving to California and enjoy the lucrative production deals with Spotify and Netflix.

Neither side can strike a middle ground with their ongoing feud - the royals must be able to make decisions that honor their work, while the decisions of Harry and Meghan should also be respected. But these days it seems like a constant battle to see who can outdo each other in the headlines and have the final say with the media: it has just been announced that Queen Elizabeth will appear on TV on the same day as Harry and Meghan's Oprah Interview.
While we don't know what the young royals will be discussing - or what may need to be reworked - Meghan will likely share her thoughts on her press-seeking father Thomas Markle and half-sister Samantha Markle. Holly Willoughby, host that morning, announced that the UK network ITV had been contacted by Oprah's team to get tapes of Samatha's January 2020 interview in which she stated Meghan still owed her father an apology for the wedding debacle.

"Oprah Winfrey's team contacted This Morning asking for footage from our interview with Samantha Markle in preparation for the interview with the Duchess of Sussex," Willoughby said on the show on Monday via the Daily Mail. "So we don't know if you used that in the interview or not, but we know that nothing was forbidden."
