Ozzy Osbourne revealed he is awaiting further neck surgery and is currently having trouble walking.
Osbourne addressed his ongoing health issues during a candid interview with Classic Rock. The singer is hoping to heal his neck problems so he can get back on the road.
"I can't walk properly these days," Ozzy said after explaining he was "awaiting more surgery" for his neck. “I have physical therapy every morning. I'm doing a little better, but not nearly as much as I would like to be able to get back on the road."
He added: "I did pretty well at f**king 73. I have no plans to go anywhere, but my time will come.”
Osbourne has certainly accomplished a lot in his career, from fronting Black Sabbath to his hugely successful solo work, but he has one more box to tick in his final years.
"A number one Ozzy album," he remarked. “I'm coming back to England this year too. I'm sick of living out here [America] now. It was never my intention to stay out here.”
Speaking of Ozzy's home in England, his historic Buckinghamshire residence will soon have its own "rehab wing", according to the Daily Mail. Designed specifically for Ozzy's physical health concerns, the wing will feature "an abundance of holding and seating space," "discreet grab bars and aids," and "soft, non-slip surfaces," as well as an on-site nurse's apartment. There will also be a "pool house orangery", a "garden room" and a "health and exercise studio".
In addition to his various recent health issues and battle with Parkinson's disease, Ozzy recently fell ill with COVID-19, with his wife Sharon expressing that she is "very worried" about his pre-existing conditions. However, she later reported that Ozzy was "much better and on the mend."
After starting in 2018, Ozzy's farewell tour "No More Tours 2" was postponed many times due to his health and the pandemic. As of now, the plan is to return to the road in early 2023 for a UK/European tour backed by Judas Priest.
