In order to focus this conversation more on its own products, the Japanese electronics company Panasonic has announced a new expansion of its HDTV product range for 2020 - the HZ980 OLED.
These OLEDs are considered an entry-level budget and are still sold for around $ 2,100. They will be available for sale in the UK next month. Indeed, this is good news for all Panasonic fans out there, as no new devices have appeared on the market after the 2019 950 series OLED models.
Although the HZ980 is much cheaper than the HZ1000 models, it still offers many of the top-end features found in higher-level lineups, such as: B. Full support for HDR10, HLG, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision HDR formats.
The HZ980 also features the new Dolby Vision IQ and Filmmaker mode, which wonderfully minimizes the annoying soap opera effects, provides a natural stage for the intended frame rates and aspect ratios, and at the same time deactivates noise reduction and sharpening.
This special feature was developed by the UHD Alliance and is supported by several respected Hollywood directors such as Christopher Nolan, Patty Jenkins and Ryan Coogler.
The HCX Pro Intelligent processor continuously analyzes the overall picture in order to always achieve optimized clarity, color and an optimized contrast ratio. The high-performance processor enhances the overall feel of the OLED panel and its millions of hard-working self-emitting pixels.
Because of these next-generation pixels, most experts agree that OLED sets are a blast when it comes to fantastic image quality, accurate colors, wide-angle viewing, deepest blacks, and inimitable uniformity and contrast.
If you're an audiophile, you know that Dolby Atmos is sure to turn your TV room into a cinematic experience. This is supported by the full support of HDMI 2.1's much-acclaimed eARC function, which delivers the best possible audio resolution from your TV.
Don't forget the always beautiful integration of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa - everything beautifully packaged in a slim, minimalist design.
