Patriots' Mac Jones reveals nickname Cam Newton gave him

While battling Mac Jones for the top spot on the New England Patriots quarterback depth map, Cam Newton helped acclimate the rookie in Foxboro.
Speaking to the media after Thursday's OTAs, Jones shed some light on the past collaboration with Newton and the rest of the QB room.

"It was good. He did a great job as a good mentor and he brings a lot of energy," Jones said of Newton. “Brian [Hoyer] and Jarrett [Stidham] did a good job helping me out in the movie room. All three just watch their repetitions and learn as much as possible. "
Jones also announced that he already got his official nickname from Cam Newton, who has a nickname for a long list of players on the Patriots list.
“He calls me Mac & Cheese, so that's my nickname,” Jones said.
This was served on a silver platter.
Jones attended Thursday's OTAs along with Stidham and Hoyer, but Newton was absent. The 32-year-old suffered a bone contusion in his hand during the Patriots OTA meeting on June 4.
