Quote: "Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Service has used satellites to scout the locations of some 150 enemy hotspots. This became possible thanks to cooperation with the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, which provided Ukrainian intelligence officers to the ICEYE satellites, as well as contractual access to the database of SAR satellites."

Details: Defense Intelligence has reported that the “People's Satellite” helped reveal and confirm the location of nearly 2,600 pieces of Russian military equipment, including tanks, self-propelled artillery units, armored vehicles, helicopters, Iskander, S-300 and Pantsir-S1 missile systems and radars. The satellite also helped detect Russian pontoon crossings, ships and boats, and tents.
The intelligence agency said the satellite helped effectively pinpoint the locations of covert deployments of Russian forces.
Background:
The Serhiy Prytula Foundation, a Ukrainian charitable trust that raises funds for Ukraine's military and humanitarian needs, has raised UAH 600 million. This deal was completed with funds from the People's Bayraktar project on June 22-24, 2022 by the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation in collaboration with blogger Ihor Lachenkov. The Baykar company decided to donate three Bayraktar TB-2 UAVs for free so that the foundation could use the funds to purchase the satellite. Prytula explained, "This isn't just a satellite. It gives us access to the entire database of ISI satellite imagery, and we've been able to purchase access for over a year."
The Serhiy Prytula Foundation later stated that the ICEYE satellite will remain in Ukraine's possession for the rest of its in-orbit lifetime.
ICEYE satellites can take pictures of the earth in all weather conditions.
