Prince George Got Upset Watching a Documentary & Prince William Had to Turn It Off
From Harper's BAZAAR
The Cambridge kids may be huge fans of David Attenborough, but the naturalist's latest BBC documentary, Extinction: The Facts, proved just too annoying for Prince George. At the start of his new environmental initiative, the Earthshot Prize, Prince William spoke about how he saw the documentary with George and ended up turning it off.
"After seeing so many David Attenborough documentaries with my kids recently, they absolutely love them, the youngest - the critically endangered - actually George and I had to turn it off, we got so sad about it halfway," said William. as reported by Sky News. "He said to me, 'You know, I don't want to see that anymore.'"
"[George asked] 'Why did this come about?' And you know, he's seven years old and he's already asking me those questions. He really senses it, and I think any seven year old out there can relate to it, ”continued the Duke of Cambridge. "I also feel very emotional emotionally. I think every parent, everyone wants to do what is best for their children, and I think we have to have a decade of change, a decade of repairing the planet so that we can." Pass it on to the next generation and future generations and get the prosperity for your life too. "
The US $ 65 million William's Earthshot Prize initiative, launched Thursday, will award five £ 1 million per year prizes for the next decade to people and organizations who make positive environmental changes. The award was created with the aim of "turning current pessimism about environmental issues into optimism by highlighting the ability of human ingenuity to bring about change and stimulate collective action".
