Rachel Zoe says she's 'scarred for life' after 9-year-old son fell 40 feet from ski lift

Rachel Zoe shares a harrowing weekend experience in which her 9-year-old son Skyler fell 40 feet from a ski lift.
The incident sent her son to the emergency room and left her and her husband Rodger Berman "scarred for life," the fashion designer wrote in her Instagram Stories on Monday.
"I'm posting this to remind everyone how fragile life is and how it can turn in a minute," she wrote, posting a picture of Skyler in the emergency room on Sunday.
According to the fashion designer, Skyler's fall “could easily have been prevented if the driver had stopped the elevator when he saw that the sky wasn't on from the start” or if the driver heard Berman's screams to stop the elevator.
"Needless to say, a miracle and the heroes of the ski patrol, who quickly put a mat under it where they thought he was going to fall, ultimately saved his life or what could have happened," she continued.

Zoe added that Skyler was "safe and okay" even though she and Berman were "shocked and deaf".
"Sky is in the best of spirits, but sore and a bit wacky, but otherwise a brave champion," she wrote.
Zoe also shared a video from Skyler who said he felt sore but mostly fine getting out of bed and walking around.
"Hello everyone," he said. "I'm fine. I'm just sore. And to show you I'm fine, I'll get up - look, I can get up! And I can run and I'm totally fine. It's just I am a bit sore. It kind of hurts, but I'm fine. "

Zoe completed her Instagram stories to write that she and Berman "have never been so grateful" to see their son walk, talk and laugh again.
"To be honest, Sky was braver (than) any of us and we just kiss, hug and stare at him until further notice," she wrote. "Give your babies a special hug from us today."
Berman and Zoe also share a 7 year old son named Kaius.
